Most of us have heard claims of CBD’s ability to help with anxiety, pain, or sleep. When a child begins to struggle with one of these issues, it’s reasonable to wonder if CBD could be a solution.

We know CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), causing broad effects in nearly all physical and mental body systems. However, our understanding of the ECS is in its infancy. These big knowledge gaps make evaluating the effects of CBD very difficult.

There are pharmaceutical-grade CBD products that have been used in children with seizure disorders. Commercially-available CBD, however, has limited current data to prove effective or safe.
